Your Home Feed & Activity

Your Home Feeds & Activity

The home feeds of uRoutine show your upcoming commitments, the 'network' activity and past commitments.

uRoutine's home feed is split into three feeds: upcoming, network and past. The home feeds are designed to provide a quick, easy and highly-engaging way to spend as little time as possible on uRoutine and to get things done. Below is a breakdown of the three feeds.

The Upcoming Feed

The upcoming feed on your homepage will show you any commitments that are either upcoming, due or overdue. A commitment will show in the 'upcoming' feed if it is able to be completed.

A commitment can be completed up until midnight (on your profile timezone) on the day it is due. So, if you set a commitment to be completed every weekday at 7pm, you will be able to complete it at any time during each weekday, until midnight. Until 6pm, the commitment will show as 'Due Today'. Between 6pm and 7pm it will show as 'Due Soon' and from 7pm until midmight it will show as 'Overdue'.

Recurring commitments can only be completed once per day. So, if you set a commitment for weekends, you can only complete it once on Saturday and once on Sunday. After the commitment is completed, it will no longer show that day on your 'upcoming' feed. However, you can visit your profile to view all completed commitments within your routine.

The Network Feed

The second feed accessible from the home screen of the app is the 'network' feed. This contains activity from you and all of the people you follow. Activity includes the following:

  • New Routines Created
  • New Commitments Created
  • Commitments Completed
  • Commitments Missed
  • Completion Streaks Achieved
Engaging with your network can be a great way to boost accountability and support, find motivation and inspiration and engage with others who are on their journey with their routines, goals and habits. Please note: Until you follow at least one person, you won't see your activity on the 'network' tab. However, you can always view your activity on your profile.

The Past Feed

Finally, the 'past' feed is the only place on the app that we hope you don't have to visit very often. Every time you miss a commitment or don't complete it before midnight on the day it is due, it will move across to the 'past' tab. Once a commitment has moved onto the 'past' tab, you can't complete it. However, if it is a recurring commitment then the next iteration of it will appear in the 'upcoming' feed.
